The Universal Lottery Picker was created to fill a gap in the current series of lottery number generators. Most of the other programs of this type are limited to picking numbers for a single lottery. If your local lottery uses a different setup, you are out of luck. However, ULP will allow you to customize the numbers chosen to your local lottery, NO MATTER WHAT TYPE IT IS. As a bonus, ULP also has a function to pick daily numbers such as "Pick 3" and "Pick 4" lotteries.
ULP is a shareware program. If you find this program useful, please pay the $5.00 fee. It is not alot to ask for a program that could win you millions. "About ULP..." - This will display a screen with general information about the Universal Lottery Picker.

"Page Setup" - Displays the standard page setup dialog box. All options are supported by ULP.
"Print" - Displays the standard print dialog box, which allows you to print out your lucky numbers. If there is no lucky number visible, a dialog box will come up, forcing you to cancel the print job.
"Quit" - Exits the program and returns you to the Finder.

"New Numbers" - This choice picks your lucky lottery numbers based on the parameters you chose from the "Preferences" screen. The numbers will remain on the screen so you can print it out for future reference.
"Preferences" - Puts a window up that allows you to change the setup of your lottery numbers. The first line displays the current setup, followed by some information about setting your preferences. This is followed by two questions for you to answer. The first question asks for the amount of numbers you want ULP to choose for you. The second one asks for the amount of numbers in the lottery. For example, if your local lottery is 5 numbers out of 40, you would enter 5 for the first question and 40 for the second. When you have entered both numbers, the top line on the window will be updated, and you will be allowed to close the window by pressing the "Done" button. NOTE: Please make sure that the first number is between 3 and 25, and the second number is between 20 and 99. Also, make sure that the first number is at least 1 less than the second.

"Pick 3" - This choice picks a daily number composed of three digits. The numbers will remain on the screen so you can print them out.
"Pick 4" - This choice picks a daily number composed of four digits. The numbers will remain on the screen so you can print them out.
Other Information:
Make sure that the file "ULP Prefs" is in the same folder as the ULP program, or there will be problems. If you wish, you can start the ULP program by double-clicking on the prefs file.
You are allowed to copy this program or upload it to public BBSs, but you must include all three files (ULP 1.0, ULP Prefs, and ULP Information) when you do so (try to use the original Stuffit file). You are not allowed to charge a fee for distributing this program unless you get written permission from 4A Software (the so-called "EduCorp rule"). If you receive this program from one of those establishments, please remember to pay the shareware fee. 4A Software receives no money from companies who distribute shareware programs.
